The Plugin

Liefwork is an Obsidian plugin. Install it, select a folder, and see all of its contents displayed as a "coral" — a fractal expansion of the underlying structure. The parent folder becomes the root, subfolders become child branches, and every file becomes a lief growing from the branch that holds it.

It runs in the desktop app (Obsidian 1.6.6 or later), and it is in Early Access: the core is complete and in daily use, still moving quickly.

What ships today:

Your data stays yours. A coral is only the files in your vault rendered differently. Memory corals are folders reversibly seeded with the growth rules of the Liefwork Memory System. Nothing is ever uploaded, and there is no account to create. We do not care to harvest any of your data (beyond the odd email address with consent). The agent is the one you already run: Claude Code, Codex CLI, or Gemini CLI working in Obsidian - no API key to paste and no separate credits to buy.

The core version of the plugin is free, and the free version is the whole thing — every feature above, no trial, no locked functionality. Those who find it truly valuable can also upgrade to Pro for a one-time fee of €5.99 for a few extra easter eggs and a way to support the small, independent developer behind it and help Liefwork grow.
