We live surrounded by the most marvellous and intricate machines. Machines of complexity and grace. Machines that are exotic and bizarre, and yet have a sense of beauty that we share.

While we live in awe of our own technology, it is a mere shadow of the sophistication in a droplet of pond-water.

We don't know how to make spider silk, let alone a spider that can make more spiders.

Yet even the things we create are never really separate from what we ourselves are: a part of nature, branching out, always.
