Two kinds of control: what the coral shows, and how big it draws.

What it shows

Show meristem notes on branches. Every branch can have a folder-note — a note named after the folder itself, holding the summary of everything beneath. Turn this on and that note appears as a lief pinned at the base of its branch, which is explorer parity. Off by default, because the branch already carries the name.

Notes only / All files. Notes only shows markdown. All files shows everything the explorer lists — images, PDFs, whatever else is in there — tinted teal so they read as different at a glance. Click one and it opens in Obsidian's own viewer.

One caveat worth knowing before you switch. A branch follows your editorial order only when every sibling has it, and non-markdown files can't carry frontmatter. So adding an image to a deliberately ordered branch drops that branch back to date ordering. If order matters there, keep Notes only, or park attachments in a subfolder.

How big it draws

The Aa control on the coral — also in the plugin's settings — has four sliders:

• Meristem text — the size branch titles grow toward.
• Lief text — the same, for lief labels.
• Depth falloff — how far a branch's prominence carries into its sub-branches. Low is steep; high is flat.
• Branch emphasis — how much a branch's size lifts its title. At 0 every branch reads alike; at 1 the biggest stand well out.

The last two are worth playing with, because the right answer depends on your vault. A tree of evenly-sized folders wants little emphasis; one with a few huge areas and many small ones wants a lot.
