Commercial Licensing
For organizations that want Liefwork inside their walls.
Liefwork for Obsidian is free for individuals, non-profits, and educational institutions — that covers most people, and if it covers you, you can stop reading and go grow a coral. Any other organization may evaluate the plugin internally for up to sixty days; keeping it after that takes a commercial license (License, §2.2).
Getting one is a conversation, not a form. Write to licensing@liefwork.com with three things: who you are, roughly how many people would use Liefwork, and what you'd use it for. You'll get a plain answer and a fixed quote — pricing scales with the size of the organization, and small teams should expect small numbers.
The same address is the door for everything the License reserves:
- Bespoke work — custom corals, setup, consulting, or a Bespoke Delivery under §2.4, whether you're commissioning one or building one for a client and want the terms confirmed.
- Building on Liefwork — redistribution, hosting, embedding the engine in a product of your own. The non-compete (§4) means the default answer is "not without a license" — but the licensed answer starts with an email.
The canonical license text lives at License; contributions are covered by the CLA; the plain-language overview is Licensing.
